Marine Ecology

April 3, 2020 by

Our marine experts support a wide range of coastal and marine ecology assessments, incorporating customized approaches and services for different users. This includes mapping and modeling oceanographic processes, and modeling migratory pathways of marine wildlife in relation to critical and sensitive coastal and marine habitats. We incorporate marine ecology into the development of spatial plans to support the conservation and protection of high value areas, while enhancing potential outputs from blue economy developments. Our team of specialists also has extensive experience helping governments and industry select mitigation strategies to reduce interaction of marine wildlife with fisheries. In addition, we also regularly provide marine and coastal ecological impact assessments related to the development of infrastructure, aquaculture, and tourism projects.

Why Hatfield?

Our extensive in-house knowledge of marine ecology is further enhanced through our long-standing relationships with renowned local scientists and universities in each region where we work, which allows us to identify the best team for our client’s projects and their specific needs. Our specialists are current on all scientific literature surrounding marine and coastal resource management, enabling us to manage our clients’ needs, provide effective recommendations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
