Hatfield is expanding in BC and Alberta

Jul 20, 2006

Hatfield is pleased to introduce new staff in West Vancouver and Fort McMurray to accommodate our growing presence in BC and Alberta. We welcome Charles Goodbrand as General Manager for Hatfield Consultants Ltd.

Mike Hamilton joins the staff of the West Vancouver office as a fisheries biology and management specialist; he is completing his Master of Resource and Environmental Management from SFU this year. Mike has conducted numerous fisheries, wildlife, and forestry studies throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and the Yukon. He will be participating in various fisheries assessments and environmental monitoring projects.

We also welcome Heather Keith to the West Vancouver office. With a M.Sc. in Resource Management and Environmental Studies and a B.Sc. in Marine Biology, she has specialized in fisheries modeling and stock assessment, including global fisheries, shrimp farming, and freshwater fishes of the Colorado River. Heather will primarily be assisting with the Environmental Effects Monitoring programs for pulp and paper.

Adrian Oliver was hired as Systems Administrator in the West Vancouver office. He has a Dipl.T. in Computer Systems Technology and is working on IT infrastructure upgrades.

Jim McCarron joined the company in June as an Environmental Specialist in the Fort McMurray office. He has a B.Sc. in Science, and his experience includes terrestrial, hydrologic, geotechnical and aquatic surveys relating to forest inventory, subsurface conductivity, environmental drilling, rural drinking water quality, benthic invertebrates, and panfish inventory.

Sarah Eaton starts work in Fort McMurray this month as an Environmental Technician with a background in reclamation and forestry related activities, such as soil sampling, vegetation assessments and timber cruising. She will be working primarily on oil sands projects.

To accommodate these new staff members, the offices in West Vancouver and Fort McMurray have both added additional office space.

We welcome our new staff and look forward to their participation in Hatfield projects, both in Canada and internationally.
