Hatfield helps CCARDESA launch its ICKM System and website

Nov 30, 2018

On November 21st, 2018, Hatfield Consultants Africa supported the launch of the new Centre for Coordination of Agricultural Research and Development in Southern Africa (CCARDESA) Information, Communication and Knowledge Management (ICKM) System, including a brand new website – www.ccardesa.org. The launch took place at the 2018 Food, Agriculture and Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN) High Level Regional Policy Dialogue on Transforming Africa’s Agriculture, held in Maputo, Mozambique. The dialogue was co-hosted by CCARDESA, along with the Graça Machel Trust (GMT), and the Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS).

Over the last year, Hatfield collaborated with C12 Consultants (Malawi) to strengthen and grow the CCARDESA ICKM system in support of its mandated role as regional knowledge broker for agricultural information and research across the SADC region. A key aspect of this project was for CCARDESA to integrate its knowledge portal, the Southern African Agricultural Information and Knowledge System (SAAIKS), into the new website and develop a new ICKM Strategy for managing and communicating agricultural knowledge in southern Africa.

Please visit http://www.ccardesa.org/ to explore the site and find out more information.
