Hatfindo celebrates 15th anniversary

Jun 23, 2005

On April 12, 2005, Hatfield’s Indonesian joint venture partner PT Hatfindo Prima (Hatfindo) celebrated 15 years of operation with an evening of celebrations held at the Grand Melia Hotel in Jakarta. Hatfindo staff, clients and partners attended celebrations. Special guests included the Canadian Ambassador to Indonesia Mr Randolph Mank. Hatfield President Thomas Boivin and the founders of Hatfindo, Chris Hatfield and Hartono Mangunsentana were also in attendance for the event.

During a recent interview with Asian Development Review (ADR), Hatfield President Thomas Boivin spoke about his experiences as President of Hatfindo from 1995-1998 “To this day, I have many good friends and colleagues in Indonesia, and I feel that the experience of working at Hatfindo was the highlight of my career thus far”.

Hatfindo was established in 1990, and since that time has undertaken a wide variety of environmental projects in Indonesia and throughout Southeast Asia. Areas of expertise include Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), biodiversity assessments, pollution monitoring, environmental management, audit and due diligence, GIS/remote sensing, environmental communications, and institutional strengthening and training. Clients include the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), as well as many private sector clients in the mining, oil and gas, pulp and paper, and forestry sectors.
