Sibonile (Sibs) has over 15 years of remote sensing, GIS and surveying experience. Her remote sensing and GIS experience includes work on infrastructure development, environmental monitoring, and humanitarian projects in the southern region of Africa. As Geomatics Manager at Hatfield Consultants Africa, Sibs provides support and guidance to clients in selecting the most appropriate products and technologies to tackle problems. Sibonile also coordinates Hatfield Consultants Africa’s commercial sales in satellite imagery and elevation models in the region. Sibonile’s GIS experience covers, geodatabase development, implementation and management, topographic mapping, workflow development and implementation, spatial analytics and web-GIS application deployment. She has managed and participated in a range of GIS projects, including facilities management, large scale data capture, and feasibility studies. Sibs is a trained Land Surveyor, enabling her to plan and manage field data collection projects, and she has considerable experience in training and capacity building in GIS and remote sensing, in both the public and private sector.
