The Strengthening Good Governance through Environmental Management and Spatial Planning (EGAP) Project in
- Develop and improve good governance practices for the recovery of sustainable livelihoods.
- Improve mechanisms for community involvement in planning for reconstruction.
- Development of spatial planning tools for government and community groups.
- Incorporate environmental considerations into reconstruction plans and activities, with particular emphasis on Coastal Zone Management and the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.
- Promote capacity-building activities including participatory community mapping, training seminars, and knowledge exchange between Canadian and Indonesian professionals.
