Nickel Mine Forestry Survey
PT Weda Bay Nickel operates a nickel mine currently in the exploration stage in the Regency of Halmahera Tengah, Indonesia. Hatfield Indonesia was contracted to implement a comprehensive forestry inventory in support of a land rehabilitation pilot project. read more >>
Forest Cover Change Analysis Project
Hatfield Indonesia conducted forest cover change analysis in the Nunukan District of East Kalimantan as part of the Forest Resources Management for Carbon Sequestration (FORMACS) project led by CARE Canada. The FORMACS project was designed to promote sustainable livelihoods through sustainable agriculture, agro-forestry and forest management practices for the maintenance of existing carbon stocks and for the sequestration of atmospheric carbon. read more >>
Assessment of Mangrove Communities at PT Freeport Mine
Hatfindo Indonesia conducted research on mangrove species distribution in the PT Freeport contract of work mining area. Permanent monitoring plots were established in areas impacted by tailing depositions and technical guidance was provided regarding mangrove silviculture and reforestation for ecosystems impacted by mining activities. read more >>
