Construction Monitoring

Hatfield specializes in environmental monitoring of construction and operation of industrial facilities and infrastructure projects.  Hatfield is responsible for developing and implementing the Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMP) as part of the construction and operation of the Joslyn North Mine Early Works Project. <<read more>>

Wildlife Monitoring

Hatfield has the expertise and experience to conduct wildlife surveys and monitoring programs for birds and terrestrial wildlife.  As part of a regional bird deterrent and monitoring program for the Athabasca oil sands region, Hatfield has developed and delivered standardized training courses in bird identification and survey techniques to improve the quality and consistency of bird monitoring data that are collected across oil sands project sites. <<read more>>

Fish Compensation

As part of regulatory approvals, Hatfield assists companies in monitoring compensation habitats in the Athabasca oil sands region.  As the implementer of the 2010 and 2011 Jackpine Mine Lake Monitoring Program, Hatfield is responsible for collecting a wide range of environmental data to document the “health” of various ecosystem components and to assess the ecological progression of the compensation lake.<<read more>>
